Different Weaves provide a variety of attributes such as greater
flexibility or rigidity, fast and easy lead separation or permanent bonding.
Basic box and twill weave patterns can be greatly modified to produce close
or wide spacing, tightness or looseness and special locking or lead separation
characteristics. Weave material may also be varied to suit the function.
Insulation Options are unlimited. Components, regardless
of insulation type or construction - polyethylene, Teflon, Tefzel, Nylon,
silicone, rubber, Kynar, polysulfone, even un-insulated copper conductors and
compound elements - can be woven together.Less Space and Weight are required than for conventional round
cable. It is not necessary to increase conductor size and insulation
thickness to obtain strength in a woven cable. In most applications
flat designs are more space efficient than round cables.
Greater Current Carrying Capacity is routinely achieved since woven
cable has larger surface-to-volume ratios than conventional ribbon or round
cables.Color Options have no limit. Wires may be all one color,
in NEMA sequence or whatever the designer may choose. Colors may be
selected for appearance, to complement a system, to identify a manufacturing
location or function or as an aid in assembly and repair. Weave material
may also be provided in a variety of colors.
